Norway House Cree Nation Business Center

Norway House Cree Nation is planning on developing a Business Centre to provide the community with a new grocery store, food court, retail outlets, office space and a community and recreation center.

The proposed Business Center area totals 51,708 square feet. The anchor tenants included are a 14,472 square foot Grocery Store, 1,505 square foot Pharmacy, 3.526 square foot office for Frontier School Division, 10,476 square foot office for Kinasao Sipi Minisowin Agency (KSMA), 12,932 square foot Community Center, 10,750 square feet of commercial space including a food court and Robin's Donuts, Booster Juice, Quiznos, York Boat Diner and an insurance outlet. There is 4,718 square feet of common area. The majority of the building will be a newly constructed steel structure but will be relocating an existing steel structure as the community and recreation center.


Latest update

May 9, 2022 – Indigenous Services Canada has terminated the assessment for the project because the project is indefinitely postponed. A building was purchased and moved to location at the expense of the community that is now being used as a Trade Centre. Community will revisit Business Centre after new business plan done.
