Shamattawa 30 Unit Housing Subdivision

Construction of a 30 unit housing development within the community of Shamattawa and off of Zaccheus Road to support the growth of the community and help reduce overcrowding. The area chosen for the subdivision is within the community with other existing houses on three sides of this area.

The infrastructure associated with the project will include 30 lots, approximately 750 meters of new road and associated water and wastewater lines to service the future homes. Activities will include construction of a roadway, water and wastewater lines that will connect to existing main lines and lot development.

Latest update

December 7, 2021 – Indigenous Services Canada issued its notice of determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
