Construction of a fire station

The project consists of constructing a single-level building, which will house the premises of the Mashteuiatsh fire department. Without having accreditation, the building must take into account LEED specifications as much as possible. The project is located at the intersection of Mahikan and Nishk streets in Mashteuiatsh. The site was disturbed in the past in order to create a drainage channel for the surrounding land left fallow. The footprint of this project is 4600 m2.

 

Latest update

October 15, 2023 – The public comment period on the project is closed. Indigenous Services Canada is considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
