White Rose Offshore Oil Development (Archived)

Description: Husky Oil Ltd. has submitted a proposal to develop the oil reserves of the White Rose offshore discovery area approximately 350 kilometers east of St. John's.

Decision of the Minister of the Environment: On June 11, 2001, following a review of public comments and the environmental assessment report, the Minister concluded that the project is unlikely to cause significant adverse environmental effects and referred the project back to the responsible authority for appropriate next steps.
