The Proposed Project

Goldcorp Borden Limited (Goldcorp) is proposing the construction, operation, decommissioning and abandonment of a new underground gold mine located near Chapleau, Ontario, approximately 160 kilometres southwest of Timmins. The Borden Gold Mine Project would have an ore production capacity of 4000 tonnes per day over a mine life of up to 15 years. The mined ore would be transported over current road networks to an existing offsite facility owned by Goldcorp, where it would be processed.
