Goliath Gold Project — Additional Federal Funding Allocated to Support Aboriginal Participation

October 1, 2015 — The Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency (the Agency) has allocated $44,958.97 to the Grassy Narrows First Nation to assist its participation in the environmental assessment of the proposed Goliath Gold Project, located 20 kilometres east of the city of Dryden, Ontario.

This funding is made available through the Participant Funding Program administered by the Agency. It will enable participation in the environmental assessment of the project, specifically reviewing and providing comments on the Environmental Impact Statement or on the summary thereof, the draft Environmental Assessment Report, and the potential environmental assessment conditions.

The Proposed Project

Treasury Metals Inc. is proposing the construction, operation, decommissioning, and abandonment of an open-pit and underground gold mine and associated infrastructure. The proposed mine, located 20 kilometres east of the city of Dryden, Ontario, will have an ore production capacity of 2,700 tonnes per day with an anticipated mine life of approximately 10 to 12 years.
