The Proposed Project
The Sisson Partnership is proposing to construct and operate an open-pit tungsten and molybdenum mine approximately 60 kilometres northwest of Fredericton, New Brunswick. The mine would have a lifespan of 27 years and would extract an average of 30,000 tonnes of ore per day. The project would involve mining by conventional open-pit methods and would include associated activities and components, including on-site ore storage and processing, tailings and waste storage, treatment, and disposal, water management, and a new 42-kilometre transmission line, running alongside an existing transmission line.
