The Proposed Project

Shawanaga First Nation is in the process of developing three new band owned homes for community members in the community. The homes will be constructed on undeveloped lands, and each will have hydro and a septic system. Water will be supplied via communal water supply. Migratory bird species are noted in the area, however an on-site biologist will be utilized during tree clearing and construction to ensure no nesting species are present during tree clearing or construction.

It is noted that Shawanaga First Nation is operational with their First Nation's Land Management Agreement, and as such have already reviewed this project with their internal review process.
