March 30, 2020 - Indigenous Services Canada has determined that the proposed West Land Road and Sewer Extension is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

The determination was based on a consideration of the following factors:

 - Zagime held a designation vote and in follow-up by Band Council Resolution has requested that a lease be issued for this property
 -the road and sewer extension to the property will continue to provide employment, training and economic development opportunities for Zagime
-no comments from the public were received for this proposal
 
Implementation of the following mitigation measures required:

-should contaminated soil be encountered  or transpire during the development, testing will be conducted and any required remediation will be performed
-any clearing work will be performed outside of the bird breeding season

Indigenous Services Canada is satisfied that the carrying out of the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
