The Proposed Project:

The project consists of a major upgrade and restoration to the main street through Tobique First Nation. Erosion and migration of surface water under the road have compromised the integrity of the infrastructure. Project work will consist of: removal and replacement of the asphalt surface, addition of a granular sub-base, and base material; digging of ditches on both sides of the road; repair, replacement, or addition of culverts; repair or addition of storm water outfalls; repair or replacement of guardrails and posts; and restoration of lawns, trees, and fences affected by the restoration works. The project will improve 0.95 km of Main Street road. This project will provide the rural community of Tobique First Nation with an improved and more reliable road.
