Six Nations of the Grand River Territory - Bridge #7 Replacement – Public Comments Invited

July 27, 2020 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed Six Nations of the Grand River Territory - Bridge #7 Replacement, located in Six Nations of the Grand River Territory is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination.

The Proposed Project

This project will entail the design and replacement of Six Nations of the Grand River Territory's Bridge #7 which is located on Chiefswood Road, 400 m north of 3rd Line. The Bridge provides crossing over Mckenzie Creek and has an Average Annual Daily Traffic count of 1500. This bridge was identified in a 2013 Ontario Structure Inspection Manual Inspection and Condition Assessment of Bridges and Culverts as needing to have a deck condition survey completed on it. The Bridge Condition Survey which was completed in 2015 by Amec Foster Wheeler Environment & Infrastructure. The report recommended the replacement of the bridge.
