Notice of determination for the Keeseekoose Multi-Purpose Health facility

March 12, 2021 - Indigenous Services Canada has determined that the proposed Keeseekoose Multi-Purpose Health facility is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

 The determination was based on a consideration of the following factors:

 -Keeseekoose First Nation applied to ISC for capital funding

 -the facility will provide access to healthcare services for the members of Keeseekoose

 -no comments were received from the public about the project

 -mitigation measures are required for the project

 

 Implementation of the following mitigation measures is required for the project:

 -waste will be taken to an appropriate landfill

 -facility will be connected to existing wastewater system

 -site access will be limited to authorized workers with adequate training

  Indigenous Services Canada is satisfied that the carrying out of the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
