 The Proposed Project

A Phase II Environmental Site Assessment found evidence of hydrocarbon impacted soils from soil sampling. Pre-planning will include mitigation measures designed to minimized impacts of the project on the surroundings and will include consideration of all aspects of the project.  The active phase of the project is expected to take approximately two weeks.  During this timeframe an excavator and a truck or two will be moving around the Site.  Job hazard analysis safety forms will be filled out each day to ensure work can proceed safely.

Approximately 200 square metres of hydrocarbon impacted soils will be removed to a maximum depth of 3 metres below ground surface in order to facilitate future development of the site.  The approximately 600 cubic metres of impacted soils will be removed and hauled to an approved disposal facility. There will temporarily be a hole in a ground which will be surrounded by a temporary fence for safety purposes. The excavation will be backfilled with clean soils sourced from One Arrow First Nation.
