Notice of determination for the  Solid Waste Transfer Station - Grandmother's Bay

May 7, 2021 - Indigenous Services Canada has determined that the proposed  Solid Waste Transfer Station - Grandmother's Bay is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

The determination was based on a consideration of the following factors:

-the new solid waste transfer station will serve the Lac La Ronge community of Grandmother's Bay and be of benefit to the membership
  -review of design drawings and specifications
  -no comments were received from the public about the project
  -mitigation measures are required for the project

Implementation of the following mitigation measures is required for the project:

-minimal brush clearing
-work to occur outside bird nesting period, or have a qualified biologist on-site during clearing if within nesting period.

Indigenous Services Canada is satisfied that the carrying out of the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
