Glooscap First Nation Entertainment Centre – Public Comments Invited

May 10, 2021 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed Glooscap First Nation Entertainment Centre, located in Hantsport, Nova Scotia, is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination.

The Proposed Project

The proposed project consists of a parking lot, building and associated infrastructure with a total project footprint of approximately 1,600 m2. The building will  house a pub, sports bar and Video Lottery Terminal (VLT) rooms at Glooscap Landing. Construction activities include laterals and connections to existing portable water lines, sanitary sewer, power and communications. The project is occurring on developed land being proposed as an Addition to Reserve.
