Removal of obstructions to navigation at the berths of Montreal and Contrecoeur for the years 2021 – 2025 – Public Comments Invited 24 june to 24 july 2021

 

June 24, 2021 – A new project has been proposed and before proceeding, the Montreal Port Authority (MPA) must decide whether the proposed project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

 

To help inform this decision, the MPA is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public [and may be posted online]. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

The Proposed Project

The project aims to ensure navigation safety along the berths by removing the shoals identified by bathymetric surveys (Montreal and Contrecoeur sectors). These obstacles to navigation are very punctual and scattered throughout the port facilities.
