Cap-aux-Meules Port - Parking Lot - Public comments invited

June 28 2021 – Transport Canada must determine whether the proposed new parking lot at Cap-aux-Meules Port is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Transport Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

The Proposed Project

CTMA's work is taking place in the containment basin sector at the port of Cap-aux-Meules for the creation of a new parking lot. The project consists of removing the following elements for the replacement with gravel foundation:

- topsoil and sodding,
- paving
- prefabricated concrete blocs
- concrete sidewalks
- fences
- pavers
