In accordance with section 82 of the Impact Assessment Act, the Commission of the Canada Energy Regulator (Commission) and Parks Canada (Parks) must each determine whether the 0.9-km-long portion of the NGTL West Path Delivery 2023 Project (Project) located on federal lands (on the Bar U Ranch National Historic Site) is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

In accordance with subsection 86(1), the Commission and Parks will each consider comments received from the public regarding these federal lands in making their respective determination.

All comments must be filed on the Commission's GH-002-2020 hearing record using the Canada Energy Regulator's (CER) online e-filing tool. If experiencing difficulties e-filing, documents may be emailed to secretary@cer-rec.gc.ca (emailed documents must be in PDF format 10 MB or less in size). Documents emailed to individual CER staff members will not be accepted as they may be missed and not processed.

As outlined in the Commission's GH-002-2020 Hearing Order, the deadline for filing comments in this hearing is 7 October 2021. All documents filed in this matter should reference the Project and File Number OF-Fac-Gas-N081-2020-07 02.

All regulatory documents issued and received regarding the Project, including comments received in relation to this notice, will be made publicly available in the CER's online public registry

For a summary of the Project, please see the main project assessment page under Reference No. 81250.
