Notice of intent to make a determination

Zagime Anishinabëk RV Trailer Park- Public Comments Invited

September 3, 2021 - Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed Zagime Anishinabëk RV Trailer Park, located on Sakimay IR 74, is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination.

The Proposed Project

Construction of a Long-Term Seasonal RV Camping Concept that offers a long term 5 year lease with 30 spots to start and up to 46 the following season. This project does and will include site and road design, site clearing, road and pad clearing, easement and drainage landscaping. Service planning for Saskpower, water lines, landscaping, septic services and construction of a shower house with washrooms. 


The land area is on approximately 4 acres along the main access road coming down into Qu'Appelle Valley and just south of Crooked Lake. Saskpower and Sasktel lines are existing. Roadways are existing but will require contouring, grading. Have already started with the clearing of bush, preliminary site grading and creating the basic drainage systems. Currently in place is garbage collection, snow removal, road maintenance and propane delivery. 


General site grading, rough site contouring, Interceptor ditch, drainage ditches and culverts. Erosion/sediment control, RV site development, RV site drive-through roads. Installation of Septic Tanks, washroom/shower facility, septic disposal services, power hook-ups with 50 or 30 amp service, street lights. ?effects.
