Project summary :

The project will replace a pressurized sewage pipe in the Six Nations of the Grand River First Nation in Ontario. The work will involve the installation of a larger, 932-metre pipe through horizontal drilling that will connect the lift station to a three-cell lagoon. The project will increase the rate of sewage treatment, which will support better health and safety and environmental protection by reducing the need for frequent discharges of partially treated sewage effluent into McKenzie Creek. The new pipe will also decrease reliance on two older cell lagoons that will now be dedicated for emergency use only.
