Repair Lawfield Road Crossing at Kerr Brook – 5th Canadian Division Support Base, Gagetown
March 17, 2022 — The Department of National Defence must decide whether the proposed project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
To help inform this decision, the Department of National Defence is inviting comments from the public on the project and its potential effects on the environment. The Proposed Project
The Department of National Defence (DND) has proposed a project which aims to replace a culvert. The existing 21m long, 5050mm x 3330mm culvert under Lawfield Road that allows for a crossing of Kerr Brook was damaged during a storm in October 2016 and again in October 2021 as the result of a vehicle accident. It is being replaced by an open-bottom steel box culvert 35m long and with an end area of 11m2. Work includes removal of old culvert, installation of new culvert, and restoration of Lawfield Road at the site.
