16 May 2022 – The Royal Canadian Mounted Police must determine whether the proposed construction of a Royal Canadian Mounted Police Detachment, located in Vermilion, Alberta is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

The Proposed Project

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police are proposing to construct a new police detachment in the Town of Vermilion, Alberta. Planned footprint of new detachment building is approximately 1117m². Construction will occur on a previously developed lot in the Town of Vermilion, Alberta.
