The Proposed Project

The Department of National Defence (DND) has proposed a project which consists of install a 2-inch water line from a well to a livestock dugout following an existing cut line within the Range and Training Area at Garrison Wainwright. The waterline will be approximately 1.4 kilometers in length. The pipeline will be trenched/plowed in approximately 18 inches below-ground up to the HUSKY pipeline (which requires a 30 meter set-back). The waterline will be left aboveground over a riser across the HUSKY pipeline. It is anticipated that it should take approximately two days to fill the dugout. When pumping is complete, the pipe across the HUSKY line will be removed. When the line is no longer needed, it will be removed. Project is planned for Summer/Fall 2022. There should be no impact to military training.
