Notice of Determination for Bekevar Wind Energy Project
 
August 2, 2022 – Indigenous Services Canada has determined that the proposed Bekevar Wind Energy Project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. 
 
The determination was based on a consideration of the following factors:
 
•    Impact on rights of Indigenous peoples;
•    Indigenous knowledge;
•    Community knowledge;
•    No comments were received from the public;
•    Mitigation measures.
 
Implementation of mitigation measures are outlined in the documents section, and include the: Environmental Impact Statement, Updated Environmental Impact Statement and mitigation measures addendum.
 
Indigenous Services Canada is satisfied that the carrying out of the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
