Public Comment Period on Intent to Make a Determination
Building 80 Sanitary Drainage Repair– Canadian Forces Base Bagotville

August 24, 2022 — The Department of National Defence must decide whether the proposed project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this decision, the Department of National Defence is inviting comments from the public on the project and its potential effects on the environment. All comments received will be considered public. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

The Proposed Project

The Department of National Defence (DND) has proposed a project which involves work execution as well as labour supply, materials and tools necessary for the building 80 sanitary repair. The work includes, without being limited to, the piping repair and insulation at the exit of the building. Excavation work is required and soil will be disposed offsite. The soils will be sampled and managed according to the analyzed results and the applicable regulations.
