Notice of intent to make a determination

Saddle Lake 40 Acre Housing Project– Public Comments Invited

August 25, 2022 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the Saddle Lake 40 Acre Housing Project located on Saddle Lake Cree Nation reserve lands is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination.

The Proposed Project

Saddle Lake Cree Nation plans to develop a 40 acre housing project that consists of building residential housing units and utilities infrastructure on 83 lots to meet the Nation's needs. Saddle Lake Cree Nation also plans to install stormwater infrastructure along with sewer and water facilities that connect to existing systems.
