The Proposed Project

The Department of National Defence (DND) has proposed a project. Building SH571 is currently the home of the Pacific Fleet Club, however the building occupancy is proposed to change from a congregation hall to office space. A Structural and Re-purposing study was completed and identified that exterior balconies will need to be demolished in order to maintain the structural integrity of the building. The scope of work comprises demolition of the East and West Balconies and associated concrete repair and remediation work. The second phase of the project will be the Building Refit work, which will include re-roofing, new windows, fire suppression requirements, egress requirements etc.
