Membertou Realty Expansion - Proposed Gas Bar, Car Wash, Restaurant – Public Comments Invited

November 25, 2022 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed Membertou Realty Expansion - Proposed Gas Bar, Car Wash, Restaurant, located in Membertou First Nation, is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

The Proposed Project

Activities include the construction of a gas bar/convenience store, restaurant and car wash facility. The project covers a total site area of 2.01 acres, and includes site development and 2 buildings, plus all infrastructure required for the gas station. Total floor area of new buildings is 3975 sq. ft. All new permanent infrastructure for the project includes site services (water, sewer, storm), and overhead and underground power distribution and communications. The fuel storage/delivery system includes underground storage tanks, a 4-lane gas pump island, and overhead canopy
