Temagami First Nation Outdoor Cultural Spaces – Public Comments Invited
April 6th, 2023 – Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC) must determine whether the proposed Temagami FIrst Nation Outdoor Cultural Spaces project, located in Bear Island, ON is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
To help inform this determination, Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC) is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

The Proposed Project
Temagami First Nation will expand the outdoor ceremony space at the Family Healing and Wellness Centre on Bear Island. The new yard will be approximately 70,000 square feet, and include a new arbour for sacred fire.
