Annapolis Valley First Nation Infrastructure Development – Public Comments Invited
May 15, 2023 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed Annapolis Valley First Nation Infrastructure Development, located in Annapolis Valley First Nation, NS is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

The Proposed Project
Annapolis Valley First Nation is developing an area adjacent to highway 101 as part of the Cambridge Interchange Project. The total area of the Commercial development is 6.47 ha and is proposing the following developments:
- A retail petroleum outlet with four fueling lanes and two quick service restaurants with drive-throughs
- A card lock facility with four fueling lanes and a driver's lounge
- A shopping centre (16,000 sq.)
- A community hall featuring an entertainment centre, daycare, and athletic studios (32,000 sq)
- A parking area for residents and tourists.
The project site will be developed in phases with the first phase including water, sanitary and storm mains, power lines, roads, parking lots and curbs.
