Installation of a 50,000 L reservoir at the Lourdes-de-Blanc-Sablon airport - Public comments invited

November 21^st 2023 – Transport Canada must determine whether the proposed Installation of a 50,000 L reservoir at the Lourdes-de-Blanc-Sablon airport located in Blanc-Sablon is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Transport Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

The Proposed Project

Air Liaison is planning to install a 50,000-litre above-ground tank in the south-east sector of the tarmac at the Lourdes-de-Blanc-Sablon airport. The tank will be installed on a concrete slab measuring 14.63 m by 4.88 m, and protected by protective jerseys. A trench will also be dug to install electrical cables linking the junction box to Transport Canada's distribution panel in the hangar.
