The Proposed Project
Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Small Craft Harbours Branch is preparing the partial demolition and re-construction of Structure 401. The new construction is a Berlin wall marginal wharf which will encapsulate the existing timber crib. Some excavation work will be done in order to be able to put in place the Berlin wall structure. Also, structure 304 will be partially removed so that structure 401 can be extended. To properly encapsulate the existing structure, the new structure will be offset by about 1.5m-2m, meaning the surface area of the structure will be expanded by about 175 m² . There will be on-site disposal for the excavated material. Existing electrical services will be removed and new electrical services will be put in place.
