The Proposed Project

This project is the beginning of a phase 2 of an existing residential development. The project includes 550 m of streets and the shaping of 18 buildable lots in the area of future Kokom Paromen Street. Preparatory work is required to complete the project. These include deforestation and drain the site. Underground infrastructures such as storm and sanitary sewer lines will also be installed. An existing culvert will also be replaced. Finally, the streets will be paved.

The total footprint of the project is approximately 28,000 m2.

An arborescent wetland is located 5 m from the project boundary. The future development of this area will be conceptualized to avoid this wetland. A permanent watercourse flowing in an anthropic ditch will be partially destroyed and captured in the new stormwater network. This watercourse/ naturalized ditch is considered to have a low ecological  performance.
