Elsipogtog First Nation - Housing Recovery Phase 2 – Public Comments Invited
March 15, 2024 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed Elsipogtog First Nation – Housing Recovery Phase 2, is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

The Proposed Project
The project aims to remediate damages to 16 homes and properties caused by Spring flooding in 2018. Construction activities include the demolition of approximately 1700m2 of homes and 2450m2 of rebuilt homes. Other construction activities include lot re-grading and engineering controls to encourage water drainage and prevent future damage to foundations from water saturation.
