The proposed project

Pacific Coast Terminals are proposing to remediate approximately 170 metres of shoreline, consisting of:

  • Removal of existing debris, rip rap, and select trees, where necessary
  • Installation of a cast in place concrete retailing wall along an existing wooden dock base to provide structural stability and prevent erosion
  • Placement of rip rap with a 1.5:1 slope beneath the existing dock and along the rest of the shoreline
  • Any other miscellaneous activities

The works are anticipated to take approximately 8 weeks to complete. To conduct works in the dry (low tide) works may need to take place outside the port authority's regular construction hours.
