Notice of Commencement of an Impact Assessment

Ottawa — September 26, 2024 — The Joint Assessment Committee (the Committee), composed of members of the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada (IAAC) and the Cree Nation Government, has commenced an impact assessment pursuant to the Impact Assessment Act for the Troilus Mining Project.

On January 25, 2023, IAAC, in collaboration with the Cree Nation Government, decided that a federal impact assessment was required and posted the Notice of Impact Assessment Decision with Reasons.

The Committee has issued the following documents to the proponent to guide the development of the Impact Statement and the conduct of the impact assessment for the project:

• Tailored Impact Statement Guidelines;
• Indigenous Engagement and Partnership Plan;
• Public Participation Plan;
• Cooperation Plan with the Province of Quebec; and
• Permitting Plan.
