Marban Gold Mine Project
Notice of Time Limit Suspension with Reasons
Ottawa — October 23, 2024 — On February 8, 2023, the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada (IAAC) suspended the 180-day time limit within which it must provide Mining O3 Inc. (the proponent) with a notice of commencement of the impact assessment of the Marban Gold Mine Project, if IAAC decides that such an assessment is required.
This suspension follows the submission of a written request (in French only) by the proponent to allow sufficient time to provide IAAC with:
- Details of how it intends to respond to the Summary of Issues provided to the proponent on January 6, 2023; and
- A detailed description of the project that includes the information prescribed by the Information and Management of Time Limits Regulations.
When the proponent has provided IAAC with its response to the Summary of Issues and any relevant Detailed Project Description, IAAC will post a notice that the prescribed activity is completed and the 180-day time limit will resume.
