Notice of intent to make a determination
Muskoday First Nation Subdivision Development – Public Comments Invited
January 21, 2025 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed Muskoday First Nation Subdivision Development is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination.

The Proposed Project
Muskoday First Nation is proposing to construct a new subdivision development to help support current housing needs and future growth on reserve. The proposed site is located immediately north of the future cultural center along the west side of the existing lagoon and transfer station access road. The project will consist of a new 40 lot subdivision, complete with all underground utilities, site roadways, ditching, and lot grading.
Site preparation activities will include vegetative clearing and topsoil stripping. Construction activities will include approximately 17 hectares of ground disturbance, consisting of underground utility installations, roadway construction, and lot grading.
