The Proposed Project

Witchekan Lake First Nation is proposing to construct a new youth lodge consisting of eight bedrooms, common area, washrooms, kitchen, and dining areas. The lodge will provide safe lodging for youths needing assistance for their living situations. The building will be approximately 360 square meters in size and will consist of a typical large residential wood-framed construction. The facility will include parking, roadways and outdoor activity areas like a fire pit. Connections to existing water, sewer, power, communication and natural gas lines will be made at the property line.

Typical residential construction waste will be collected and disposed of at the nearby Highway 55 regional landfill.
