The Proposed Project
The Developer proposes to construct a Commercial Development site on Edmonton International Airport lands that will support the planned growth of the developing area.
The Commercial Development will be located at the Edmonton International Airport on 19,398 square meters of land. There will be 6 CRU ranging in size from 557 square meters to 1,579 square meters along with a stand alone QSR restaurant of about 212 square meters. The buildings will range in height from 6.4 meters to 8 meters. The QSR and 2 of the CRU will have drive-throughs. There will be parking stalls on a paved parking lot that is included in the overall 19,398 square meters. The entire footprint for the project is located on previously graded and disturbed lands. There will be no significant noise generated by the facility.
During construction, there will be added traffic, large trucks and equipment generating construction-related noise. Noise generated is not predicted to create impacts as the project site is surrounded by commercial development at the airport.
