The Royal Canadian Mounted Police must determine whether the proposed Construction of a Royal Canadian Mounted Police Detachment in Shelburne, Nova Scotia, is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

The Proposed Project

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police is proposing to construct a new police detachment in Shelburne, Nova Scotia. The Shelburne Detachment will be a newly constructed 820m2 building. The design will be RCMP's Standard Small Detachment and will be net zero carbon. a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment, Species at Risk Assessment, and Archaeological Study have been completed for the site. A Climate Risk and Vulnerability Assessment will be completed and implemented into the design.
