Whitesand First Nation: Lot Servicing for Future Houses – Public Comments Invited

May 16, 2025 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed lot servicing for Future Houses Project, located in Whitesand First Nation is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

The Proposed Project

Whitesand First Nation proposed this project to clear, service and prepare 19 lots to accommodate future houses. Each lot are planned to be 40 m x 60 m (2,400 m2) within the community. Physical activities include earth works related to site preparation and clearing, drainage, service extensions, and hydro connection.
