The Proposed Project: Silver Dart Tank Farm Electrical & Mechanical Modifications

This project involves the rerouting of the existing cable trays and SPPL pipeline. The existing underground tanks are no longer in use, however critical electrical and communication cabling that supports the aboveground tanks and pumps run through this area along with a delivery line from SPPL. The portion of the SPPL pipeline that we are rerouting is PIFFC owned.  The scope of work for the project includes:

- Removal of existing cable tray

- Excavate and install new electrical trench

- Relocate existing cables from the main cable tray into electrical trench

- Backfill electrical trench

- Remove existing concrete pump foundations

- Remove existing 6" aboveground SPPL piping

- Excavate and install new mechanical piping trench

- Install new buried mechanical piping as shown in mechanical drawings

- Tie-in piping to existing SPPL supply line

- Backfill mechanical piping trench

This work will facilitate a future project for the removal and cleanup of the existing underground tanks and any remediation required. Any impacted soils, if encountered, will be recorded and sampled and will be managed as part of the future project.
