The Proposed Project
Sunchild First Nation is proposing the review, selection, delivery and installation of a package water treatment plant (WTP) as well as the construction of water supply mains and distribution main tie-in's to provide a temporary water source for 32 lots in their new subdivision development. The package WTP will be placed within Lot #1 of Block 100. Exact dimensions are to be determined based on the selected contractor.
No tree or vegetation clearing is required for this project as the area has been previously cleared as part of the subdivision development. A wildlife sweep will be completed by a qualified professional prior to the start of construction.
The proposed package WTP includes the following:
- Pre-engineered building/seacan c/w HVAC.
- Proposed treatment system including two-stage cartridge filtration, UV disinfection and sodium hypochlorite feeding system.
- HDPE treated water storage tank(s).
- Distribution pumping with a pressure tank.
- All required electrical and controls.
A permanent WTP and distribution system will be developed for the overall new subdivision, and this temporary system will then be reused at other locations.
