October 23 2025 — Parks Canada Agency terminated this Basic Impact Assessment. An archeaological impact assessment was conducted at the project site during October 13-15, 2025. All test sites were sterile and a conclusion made that adverse impacts to cultural resources were unlikely. Riding Mountain National Park's species at risk  and bird specialist conducted an onsite assessment and determined no potential for adverse impacts to red-headed woodpeckers (species at risk). After receiving additional plans it was determined that the proposed works fall under the Routine Projects in Wasagaming Preapproved Routine Impact Assessment.
