Notice of time limit resumption

Ottawa — May 8, 2026 — The Impact Assessment Agency of Canada (IAAC) resumed the 180-day time limit for the planning phase under the Impact Assessment Act for the Lawyers-Ranch Project (the project).

The time limit was suspended at the request of Thesis Gold and Silver Inc., (the proponent) to provide Indigenous Nations with additional opportunity to provide comments on the Initial Project Description, such that any comments received may be reflected in the Joint Summary of Issues and Engagement. On May 8, 2026, the 50-calendar days suspension period that the proponent requested to take effect on March 19, 2026, has ended. As a result, the 180-day time limit has now resumed.

The 180-day time limit is the period of time within which IAAC must provide the proponent with a notice of the commencement of the impact assessment, if IAAC decides that an impact assessment of the project is required.
