May, 28, 2026 – The National Research Council (NRC) must determine whether the sewer upgrades between Building M16 and M9 at the NRC Montreal Road Campus, Ottawa, Ontario is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, the NRC is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

The Proposed Project

The National Research Council of Canada (NRC) is proposing to separate the sanitary sewer from the storm sewer between Building M16 and M9 at the NRC Montreal Road Campus, Ottawa, Ontario.

The project will include site preparation, excavation, infrastructure installation and site restoration. Access to Marrion Street will be closed during the construction.
