Crown Mountain Coking Coal Project
Unsure if benefits outweigh the risks

The Elk Valley has reached its capacity for new mining projects. Vehicle traffic is already dense, risking human life, and wildlife mortalities occuring almost daily. The proposed mitigations for environmental impacts are good, but there isn't a quick fix or even perfected fix to water quality challenges, proven productive reclamation or dust management. If Teck, a longstanding miner in the area with endless resources and strong community relationships cannot absolve these issues, I don't agree that a short term, "one and done" project will do any better.
I am not supportive of this project.
