  • It's difficult to know what to write, given that it seems so obvious to me (a trained scientist) that new coal mines should not be discussed during a climate emergency, especially for a province that has abundant sun and wind, and potential for geothermal energy. If you do not already grasp this, then I don't think there is anything else I can say to convince you. It has been talked about loud and clear for the past 10 years, the past two years especially - in 2019 a series of climate rallies were held, culminating one which 10,000 Albertans marched through Edmonton to rally against inaction on climate change. The scientific concept of GHGs causing a climate emergency isn't even difficult to grasp, so if you can't do so then you are likely not fit to be in office. Children can grasp it.
