Questions regarding Ring of Fire

My name is Selah Fennell and I am a fourth grade student at Governor's Ranch Elementary School. In writing class we have been researching natural wonders of the world and the Ring of fire fascinated me so much and it would be so great if you could please try and answer the questions down below that would be greatly appreciated.

 First, it is understood that Volcanologists most likely know when a volcano will erupt. Could you please explain how they know and what some of the signs are?

 Here are some more questions about the ring of fire and volcanoes. How long did it take for the Ring of Fire to form and how did it form? How is the lava formed? Can animals or people live near the ring of fire? Have you visited the Ring of Fire and if so how many times? How often does the Ring of Fire erupt? How long does an eruption last? How long has the Ring of Fire been active? Lastly, How many times has the Ring of Fire erupted in its lifetime.
